#1 Exfoliate Exfoliat Exfoliate
Let me say that again EXFOLIATE!! Once a week is plenty, you do not want to overdo it. Just like a tree sheds its leaves in the fall to make room for new growth in the spring, our skin must shed cells to make room for new skin cells. This happens every 30 days or so. Sometimes, however, cells become stuck resulting in dry patchy or scaly skin. Clogged pores is another issue that can result from low skin cell turnover.
****Keep in mind to avoid direct sunlight 24 hours after exfoliating as your skin will be a bit more sensitive.
Ummm did I mention long term exfoliating = collagen production!! Collagen production is my new obsession and rightly so! Collagen is extremely important to skin elasticity, skin vibrancy, and even diminishes fine lines. By gently exfoliating you are removing the dead layer of skin cells, which in turn, stimulates collagen production over a period of time.
Find yourself a good face scrub preferably something without microbeads as they are harmful to the environment. If you start small say give up soda for a month and add lemon water, you would be AMAZED at the difference in your skin. Not only are you removing chemical laden soda, but you are adding detoxifying lemon and water, its literally a win win! There are so many things you can do to support your body’s natural detoxifying abilities.

SKIN BRUSHING For very quick look at skin brushing checkout this video. (Click on picture below) The lymphatic system is the body’s means of removing toxins. By brushing the skin you are stimulating the superficial lymph nodes thereby encouraging this process naturally. This is a Wonderful technique and I highly recommend you try it!
EPSOM SALT BATH SOAK Ohh yes I said it go soak in the tub!! 2 cups of Epsom salt and no less than 20 to 30 min soak time. Great to relieve stress and an excellent method for removing toxins from the body :)
